| CalPers rates are regional rates. (i.e. Bay Area, Sacramento, Los Angeles, etc.) The amount that CalPers charges for a medical plan is determined by where the individuals home address is located. VTA has individuals living in both the Bay Area region and the Sacramento region (very few), so premium rates are proportionately based on not only what plan is chosen, but where the member lives. |
