VTA Reduction in Force Meeting

Wednesday
3/11/09
3:45pm

Will C. Wood Campus: Catwalk Theatre

Who needs to attend: every member that receives a RIF notice (pink slip).

We will be discussing your hearing rights and giving out forms for you to fill out and sign and turn in to exercise those rights.

We hope to have our CTA-appointed attorney there to answer questions as well.

Here is the Board Resolution identifying the number of FTE cuts for particular kinds of services (math, english, elementary, counseling, etc.).

Be patient with your principal; they may not get lists of pink slips until Friday now. They will let you know when they get those lists.

Hang in there and be supportive of one another. This is a difficult time for everyone.

In addition to attending the school board meeting this Thursday, we’ve been preparing two events scheduled for Friday, March 13th For details, click here.

A handout detailing the broad scope of what the VTA, and CTA, is organizing has been sent to your action team contact who will be distributing this to you ASAP.

  • -WCW – Todd Blanset
