It’s the road to equality and citizenship…That’s Doctor Martin Luther King, Junior…on public education. Here in California, we value public education, our teachers, and the local neighborhood schools that create opportunity and keep our communities strong. The direction in which education starts a person will determine their future in life. Or as Helen Keller wrote, “The highest result of education is tolerance. And Nelson Mandela reminds us, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world. For centuries, our greatest minds have reminded us that educators make a powerful difference for a lifetime. Rep Council February Agenda

1.       I became an educator because I love learning. Being a teacher allows me to not only make learning fun for others, but provides me opportunities, sometimes daily, to continue to learn.

2.       I love all the different students I have taught over the years.  I have had some wonderful students that have made me very proud to be in this profession.

3.       I am finishing my 12^th year as a teacher at B.V.

4.       I was born and raised in Vacaville, so being a part of this district is important to me. It feels good to work in the district and with people who were a part of my education.
