Drawing from a recent survey from the Center for American Progress; the U.S. Immigration Policy Center at the University of California, San Diego; United We Dream; and the National Immigration Law Center, our analysis finds that an overwhelming majority—80 percent—of LGBT DACA recipients would fear for their own physical safety or the physical safety of their families in their country of birth. The National Education Association estimates that roughly 37,000 of our nations educators are DACA recipients working in our public schools.
