Speaking of School Safety…

Have you checked out our page on School Safety lately? Here you will find our policy on school safety/school management, safety resources, including the ability to pledge to support the public school education that ALL students deserve, information about Alternative Discipline and Restorative Practices, and hot off the presses, the new Guide to School Safety.

Bill of Rights Day is Dec. 15

Educators can order materials to use in the classroom for the upcoming Bill of Rights Day, Dec. 15. Help students better understand the Bill of Rights and get detailed lesson plans on how the Bill of Rights helps guarantee individual rights. And … a great assignment for your kids leading up to that special day: Ask them to address their U.S. Senators and answer the following question: “What right(s) in the Bill of Rights are important to me and why?” Have your students go to the websites for U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein and U.S. Senator Kamala Harris or send them an email at Feinstein.senate.gov and Harris.senate.gov answering that important question.
